I am an Advanced Placement US and Comparative Government and Politics educator. My MA is in History from Michigan State University and I have been teaching for over twenty years. What moves me to become a better teacher is technology and the ability it has to engage students to become critical thinkers versus passive learners in the classroom and outside of the class day. Since 2007, I have administered my own wiki and have taught a fully blended AP course since 2008.

My current passion is using visual images to understand and analyze contemporary politics in the political science classroom. I am in the process of photographing historical and post-modern contemporary art exhibits and developing teaching units to teach comparative concepts. I find the wiki and Voice Thread incredibly helpful for analyzing visual images. I am looking forward to learning new technologies and exchanging ideas.
