I have been teaching for years because I love teaching. My area is the Twentieth Century, specifically populist movements. Interesting that you mention Carr and Zizek, why not Emanuel Levinas? I think that he would be more appropriate for our times when all representatives of the media keep reinforcing the concept of 'the other' rather than working for concensus.
